some thoughts
Engadget is slowly turning me into more of a gadget freak - not so much on the core hardware (like chips and stuff) but more on the pretty stuff like smartphone/Windows 7 Series/Android/Apple toys, and 3DTV, and news on the techie side of things like the Apple-HTC lawsuit, the Google-China mess... makes interesting reading when my attention is beginning to stray in the office, or when I need to take 5 from whatever I'm doing. Also because I don't like seeing couple of hundred unread items.. I mean, not including RWW which has longer articles - alot of it on social media technology and networks, as well as cloud computing, tips for startups, things going on around the web world.. it makes good reading but I can't afford it at work, so I'll try to catch up when I'm home.
I'm simply uninterested in politics here - it's the same old game, everyone's losing and those who are battling it out seem to enjoy the attention they're getting, while having completely forgotten what they're actually there for. To help the poor, to make sure everyone has an equal opportunity and access to the stuff of basic human sustenance - education, health, food, wealth even. Almost someone is getting robbed, murdered, court trials one after the other, charged for corruption, crying out against the rights that are not upheld every other day. Where does that leave us people? For those that bother to vote, they vote for people they know, but secretly hold in their hearts their doubts that anything will change after for the better in the long run. For those that don't bother to vote, they will gripe and at the same time make jokes about the system that they aren't willing to change a thing about. Why complain if you're not doing anything to help?
Reeis, El and I spent most of Sat together, boy was the day warm! Even decked in a tee and shorts I was sweating like crazy! T_T we went to Digital Mall where El bought a 500GB HDD (damn I really want one now too.. the price ain't too bad at about RM300) and we were looking at a stall selling HTC phones - finally got to fiddle around with the HD2, Hero, Tattoo, and the spanking new Motorola Droid! I tell you I nearly drooled on the spot in front of the fella just touching the phone. Damn I really want a HTC! (or a Droid), but neither are looking very friendly given the half-starved state of my wallet now. T_T Had Korean dinner after, and Reeis was saying "hahahah you know I think the guy was one step from asking for your number!" -> in reference to the seller at this HTC booth. Hilarity ensued! Our conversations were seriously random, going off on tangents everywhere (making me go wtf every so often, but hey I'm loving it all the same)
My philosophy on job-hops: If you wake up the next day dreading to go to work, it's time for a change.
Today ti and I finally got off our lazy butts to do the weekly house cleaning task. I prefer vacuuming to mopping - mopping can be seriously tiring. And I'm thinking, my room needs some serious spring cleaning! My wardrobe is more or less ok, it's the rest of my stuff that I'm kinda afraid of (haha!)
Mom said "I'll never think of Daiso the same way again, we should bring guama there again!" - inside joke
Four Dalpurians are now engaged to each other! Miracles do happen, and I'm really happy for them! =) This is a big step indeed, and I really wish you guys all the best, be steadfast and brave the crazy world together - nothing can break you down as long as you're committed to each other! XD So exciting - I think if/when I do get invites to the wedding I'm definitely going to make the trip(s?) down XD
