translation:today's my birthday! I'm so happy~~~ from morning, everyone's been greeting me "Happy Birthday!"

Let me move on.

Once I got to school though, the steady stream of well-wishers started XD it was so fun~

the point was, they were having fun @ the R.AGE (which is a new pullout by the Star Newspaper, a section for the up-hippy-teenagers-youngsters kinda thing XP) launch happening @ the cafeteria.. XP I think Marion from Quickie was there, Hannah Tan & Dawn Ling. Hot girls @ hot event = hot photos. XD Check vincent + kenken's blog for details. Apparently kenken's crazy over Dawn right now.. he claims it'll wear off by tomorrow but I'm not so sure. And he's so jealous that vincent got shots of Dawn with her cuter faces~ XP
First present I received was....waaay back in august before oji left for UK. ^_^ David Mitchell - number9dream. Since I can't tear myself from Cloud Atlas (which is still a great read, but I can't bring myself to read the Journal of Adam Ewing cause I feel it's kinda draggy, but I'll steel myself to finish the book) might as well preoccupy myself with this. XD
Now...when do I find the time to read this? T_T exams are drawing closer and at a faster pace than I'd like to accept.
But for today, the first present received was from chengyee+yeehua+yuanshe+denny which was a pair of earrings and a bracelet!
Funny thing was, even before I opened the box containing the bracelet, yeehua was saying, "Come on, let's see the bracelet!" Probably not in her conscious frame of mind, and noting how blissfully unaware she was, I couldn't help but laugh.
Don't be so offended at the small pictures ok; they're the best-looking size I could get them. My phone camera isn't a full-fledged one, and any attempts at macro photography will turn it to mush. So there.
Next present was from the ever-charming and die-hard butterfly-girl liyen. A photo frame with an elongated dalmation / spotty sausage dog. I don't know. But it's still chun nonetheless.
Breakables make good-looking presents. And no, I haven't broken it. I don't intend to either. XD
As is the usual custom, my parents and I went out for dinner. A super-special dinner birthday-celebraters get only once a year @ a place of the celebrity's (doesn't it sound flashy XD) choice. My pick for this year is Pacifica @ Mandarin Oriental. This would make it the 2nd birthday trip there XD I love it for alot of reasons.
First is the ambience of the place itself. It's not too brightly lit and gives a warm glow.. Next is the great air flow where the smoke from the smoking section never blows into the non-smoking section. The genius of it all.
Most important of all, the fusion cuisine served is really a class above. I haven't found anything that actually tastes bad yet. ^_^
Since I'm officially at the Legal Drinking Age I got my first glass of wine, all on my own XDXDXD How great is that? XD for someone who steals sips from her dad's glass, this is an upgrade~ It's a 2002 Australian Merlot, Brown Brothers. I don't know @_@ I'm no wine connoisseur. But it tastes nice~ ^_^ What I would do for another glass~~~~
after drinking it for abit, I spotted some 'uninvited guests' doing the breastroke in the glass. So I had a second glass.
XD Yay~
Pandan Souffle. My dessert. It's supposed to be light green, but oh well. Blame lighting.
Kinda looks like a mountain of froth of sorts. But it's like a creamy cakey thing that'll collapse if it gets cold. So I ate this first...before proceeding to the next. *looks down*
And urm..I didn't really get the name of this one..I think it's a kind of yoghurt. Abit sourish compared to the souffle though, so it complements just nicely. And the chocolate shaving rocks~
When I got home.. XD korg said to me, "You'll find your present when you switch on the fan." *hug hug hugs oniii-chan!* XD thanks so much korrrggg!

Mom and dad weren't about to lose out to the growing pile. ehhehe~
Dad thought Patrick was cute~ so he gave it to me.
On the other hand, mom thought the cat was cute, so she gave it to me.
The thing was, they put both the cat and the dog in the same box. XD Are you trying to imply something? XP although it's a cute gesture~ Thanks mom and dad~~
and that ends my narrative for my one and very special day of the year. Now we get to celebrate choryeow's (which is tomorrow) and vincent's (which is on sunday).
