hectic hectic ^__^ among other things
note how fast time flies when everything is flying into your face.
That line sounds so fitting. And nice on the tongue too X3
On Saturday the four of us went to have an advance birthday celebration for ai-chan.
Her birthday's today , 誕生日!!!
I'll sms you a greeting when I reload my phone later. The only reason I called dead in the night cause I was taking the chance that you were actually awake and that I had no more credit to sms you on the stroke of midnight XD wahahahha
It was rather gracious of reeis to come pick me up from home on a last-minute basis, and even more gracious of her dad to turn back when I told him I accidentally left my phone in the living room. I wasn't going to try his patience with stating that I left my wallet at home as well... >_> For some reason I seemed to be forgetting alot of things that day. T__T
Having bought a huuge chiyo-chichi for her the day before (try imagining the faces you encounter when you're walking around a shopping mall carrying a huge -if I remember right, about 26 inches- orange-coloured cat that looks more like an alien than anything else) and having to lug it again to the curve wasn't so bad, since thankfully reeis had this bag meant for storing pillows with every purchase which fitted it just nicely. X3
ai-chan was with her mom strolling around ikea when I called her. Like she said, the only thing more precious than the toy itself had to be her mom's reaction. To quote ai-chan...."Precious." XDXD If I had to describe it, a medley of awe, disgust, amazement, surprise, and ultimately, "OMGWTFBBQ?!" As extra, el brought her obese illiterate cookies (fuuh~ quite a mouthful when you don't remember it offhand) and her zombie grapes. More "WTF?!" goodness. XDXDXD
We went to RedBox @ the Curve. It was a first for ai-chan, so heheh that was memorable for her, I bet. We belted out song after song after song from 3pm to 7pm. reeis was probably the best-sounding...and the most enthusiastic. ai-chan had some off-key moments. el was just el. XD and me...just the same I guess.
What we were really amazed at were the fact that there was Japanese songs!!! OMGWTFBBQ!! *this is one of the other many stuff I caught from ai-chan* We were amazed to find Sakura Drops (hikki), Winter Bells (kuraki mai), Realize (tamaki nami), Step by Step (Ziggy), VIVA ROCK (ORANGE RANGE X3X3X3)...well, I think there were more, but mostly the old stuff. So if there's anything from 20 years ago I guarantee it's there. The newer ones are rare, but to find those that we know as is was a pretty amazing feat. So yes, very very amazing in that sense. I still love that video of sakura Drops and that song by hirai ken that reeis intro-ed to me.... boku no tomodachi. And for the first time, I saw an ayu music vid. I still think she looks good in that cat suit and black hair, rather than her dyed hair. *shrugs* No I don't have a neko-complex. For cripes' sake, it's me you're looking at. *rolls eyes*
The other headline-worth event had to be the photo sessions. Not only among ourselves (I don't remember anyone taking much anyway, and reeis was the only one with a camera) but with ai-chan's new boyfriend. XDXDXDXD he's so alive and bright in photos. And nice to cuddle too. Not to mention every photo taken will result in a full-five minute laugh-till-you-run-out-of-breath frenzy. I want those photos. Reeis! =D
Reeis' parents were eating at a mamak when we met them. They have really huge roti boms, lengthwise about an entire table long. The best part was that her parents had one, between both of them. Naturally, no parent consumes that much sugar in any one meal, so they requested backup (ie. us) which was duly provided.
oh, and thanks reeis' parents for fetching me there and sending me back! (I know, I know, they don't read it, but still, I still like to do it. At least I acknowledge the senseless good deed done in ferrying 3 crazed kids with a huge orange cat XD)
On Sunday I was supposed to be doing my econs homework. Plan thwarted when parents decided for everyone to go to Midvalley. So there went my supposedly productive afternoon. But I had great fun going window shopping, especially for jackets. *shrugs* jacket fetish? Because jackets are great for hiding stuff and feeling warm X3 Not the fur ones or the overly lala-esque ones though, those are for you. (whoever you may be XP)
I'd been wanting to read the Lord of the Flies for quite some time, and yayness, I finally got my own yesterday, together with Kafka on the Shore. X3 Wanted to get Wicked, but I couldn't find it. Thought of getting The Hungry Tide, Interpreter of Maladies, The Devil Wears Prada...but I thought against it. XP I shall read it..after I'm done with Joseph Conrad's book on sea stories, I think the title had something to do with shadows, darkness and the heart. Oh! "Heart of Darkness."
