cyberdust!

I'm so tickled by what I found yesterday! Just that korg's downloads were hogging the bandwidth, so I couldn't load anything. But I'm not deterred, and here I am!

I realize ai-chan's and my sites from our high school days still exist! And in nearly pristine condition too!

We used to have this mp3 site called Mp3 Hunters' Central, I suppose we had HunterXHunter in mind for some strange reason. But it thrived, literally. We were pretty much kept busy by the requests and trades, and the 'in' medium was using Streamload. Reasons? Simple: free, unlimited storage, and very easy to share.

Splash pages were a must, I mean, what better a front door than an actual front door? Well I wasn't a genius with photoshop then, I doubt I even tried using it until about form4 or form5 when ai-chan was seriously into CG and good at it. XD The html was very basic too, but I loved every bit of creating the site. After all, we were in the limelight for awhile even though in the face of a rather small network of fellow anime/game mp3 addicts, but it was great fun. I think it only died down when streamload was made into a full-paying site and things weren't as simple, not to mention the copyrights people who were getting edgier.

Mp3 Hunters' Central was actually a child site of our 'organization' which we called Flying Cows for fun. We just thought it'd be fun to have something wacky-sounding. After all people tend to remember weird names and things for the sole reason that they're not normal. It was just a gateway though, and at that point since the more enthusiastic artist among us 2 was ai-chan, she had a personal art site too, which she titled it her room - Aiori's Room.

For the last, well, erm, 5 years or so we've left it to gather cyber dust, and I even expected the accounts to be cancelled and the site cleared off the listings! Who'd have known, who'd have ever known that I'd chance by my own site (most of the html was handled by me, and boy I hated frames that much, but since there was no better way to organize a site that I knew of I used it like no tomorrow) and all these memories popped up.. sigh.
