neat freak

It feels like a disorder.. I keep wanting to keep the kitchen clean and neat. Heck, even my own room is messier! WTF?!

I cleaned it thoroughly on Sunday (or was it Saturday?). Then I packed the kitchen up *again* just now. Found a bunch of nifty things while going through the cupboards. For instance, I found where the egg tray covers of the fridge went. I also found another plastic bowl, a plate, a ceramic bowl, a spoon, one chopstick, a knife, a cutlery holder... o___o

Once I get over my assignments I swear I will pack up my room. Give it a thorough packing up. Arrange my stuff, vacuum my floor, change the sheets, wipe the desk & drawers, pack the stuff IN the drawers...

One word springs to mind: massive spring cleaning.

Sure, spring is here! No wonder. =P

Also coming down with a cold; can't bloody stop sneezing. *sniff*

Had abit of a stomach cramp on Sunday. I woke up to it, thinking, "Oh god, not now, not when I've got assignments due!" Dragged myself to the clinic. Luckily, I recovered in time to cook up the shepherd's pie ku ma taught me (although not exactly *like* hers, but still..) and headed of to Cynthia's 21st birthday party. The theme: masquerade!

We didn't dress in fancy gowns or anything, but we really dressed up for it alright. Smart casual, complete with masks that we designed the night before. The ceiling was a splash of colour, with the balloons ornamenting the rec hall. The food on the table led us to drool for at least a half hour before most of the guests came and la prima donna was still adding the final touches to her look.

I'm glad to say on the mastermind's behalf (that's Eileen, mind you) that the party went absolutely great; the food was finished, the desserts were finished, even the cake was finished (well it wasn't very big, and shared between 25 people) and we proceeded to camwhore for the rest of the evening.

Rachel, having this fatal phobia of balloons gave the guys a run for their money (literally) chasing her around the place with balloons of all sizes. Face your fears, and they will seek no enjoyment in teasing you so.

I miss home, and I want to go back! I keep thinking of the food, the people back home, the privilege of driving a car, the shopping malls that close at 10pm, the movies that are at least a third of the prices of tickets here... sigh... but on the other hand I will really miss Gipps when I *do* leave; all the cooking, the baking, the gatherings, the potlucks, the parties, the friends I've made and the ups and downs I had to go through.

And I'm not even going to graduate yet!

My exam timetable's out. At least this time its nothing as horrible as the last semester; no 3 papers in 2 day fiasco. The war of words begins on the 26th October, followed by a joust on 1st November, succeeded by a match on 2nd November and the ultimatum on the 7th of November.
