plunging headlong into worklife

I've been fumbling with timing ever since I started working. bah. Missing 4 weeks of swing in a row really sucks - I just feel so drained after leaving at 7 or so, so I skip it to take my own breather ~_~ I think I've got my timing settled, so I'm definitely going next week! *yosh!

I do enjoy where I'm at now. The company I keep makes me laugh more than anything - they keep it light where it's usually pretty tense cause of stewpit people littered all over the place pressuring us for something or the other. The two B-bros, one on MIMS, the other on RIMS. haha I definitely feel like a little sister tagging along two elder bros.. but I've learnt heaps from them in the short space of 3 weeks. Like *heaps*.

Which might explain my disappearance from Sid's, but not quite either. Since there's only the precious 3 of us most of the time on full-time support the workload can literally kill if we didn't somehow find a way to cope with it.

Commuting on the train has its good points, and has it's bad points. On one hand, I don't know why - I love trains. The hustle & bustle, the people I see, the things they do, the view of KL waking up to the day - it's just part and parcel of the crowd and I really love it. Being a part of the crowd makes me feel more alive - and a little more grown up. The bad part is that I have to wake up early to see it, and I cannot stress enough that I am *not* a morning person.

Also the friends I've made from the first few days that are working within the same building, they are good friends indeed =) I've plunged headfirst into work so sometimes I go out *really* late.. and they bought pastry for me once! I was pleasantly surprised after I got back to find food on my table while my seniors went "omg so nice you've got food! Sien la eh why noone buy for us!" Also the time when I brought lunch to office - they gave me this look and went "Eh sien la you, where's our share wei! What is this!"

Went to Menara Maxis @ KLCC today. All I have to say is, *whoah! It's really neat. For some reason the dept we went to were giving away flowers+candy (literally, as in flower-shaped candy! XD) so that was fun. ahhaha! And there was this annoying lady in the next cubicle who mistook the office for some kind of pasar cause I swear she was karaoke-ing where she sat and going "EH SAYANG, SAYANG! JUMPA LATER GI MINUM K! KAT MANA?!" on the phone or what not, I don't know. I had to stop myself from laughing cause it was hilarious watching my seniors mouthing "eh diamlah!" and having to deal with all that commotion while stressing out over more stewpit users/emails/things.

The MIMS senior that I stick to the most (cause he's mainly the one I run to for help - In a sense, I'm his understudy).. he's.. mostly stressed. And really 'famous' haha! What I mean to say is that practically *everyone* looks for him - he's always there helping people out even if he curses their stupidity later but he's pretty patient and is willing to teach so hats off to that. And when I say "all the time", I literally meant it - he's had people calling him up at 8ish on a Sat morning and he *still* entertains them although he should be saying "screw you, I'm going back to sleep". And he hasn't been supporting this system for long either, just about 2 months. So *salute!

Now the RIMS senior is the real funnyman of the lot. He says lots of funny things, and I think it's just the way he articulates things, or the way he says things, it always eases the otherwise tense atmosphere. I mean when he's serious, he's serious alright (don't play play man! this guy knows his stuff) but he can change moods (in a positive manner) like flicking a switch and just brings everyone else along naturally. So it's really nice to work with him around even if the things we support aren't the same.

Comparatively, I'm still the most relaxed of the lot. I think I'll join their ranks soon. =P Whether it's a good thing, it's a bad thing - I'll find out in time I suppose.

Mentor's back for 2 precious weeks, and I'm glad to say I got to go out with her every week! hahaha! So make that twice that I've seen her~ Both times in KLCC but hey who's complaining~ I'm glad for her that her skin's cleared up and she's still as gila as ever, still has so many stories to tell and now has an uber-cool Blackberry so I just had to play around with it for abit! The proposed dinner with the rest of them didn't really work out cause timing's hard to coordinate with everyone's gila work schedules..

But it was good. =) First time was a private date, just us XD and the 2nd time was with sharoney~ Time is precious, time was short between us but you know how tongues can wag and depending on how you phrase things it can mean a million things, so we managed to catch up a fair bit~ XD

Going out with oji tmr, yayyyyy~

And the weekend to look forward to~ My my, don't we all grow up 'too' quickly! I don't want to rush through it, I wanna sit and take a look around, see what I'm actually going through. And I will. =)
