different

I'm not posting as often as I normally do, I'm probably losing my flair for writing.

But I honestly think it's just plain laziness.
_________

Things have changed.

I don't have a maid anymore. Well having grown up with this comfort I guess I took it for granted that housework would be 'easy' to do if/when everyone pitches in. Unfortunately, not everyone pitches in. I do the dishes, and I like it. And whatever else mom asks me to do. I'm not averse to the idea, I think it's good that we have the house to ourselves again. And my mom was saying "wow after so long, I have to get in touch with the kitchen and everything in it" and reeis going "haha now you're finally like one of us" kinda goes to show that we've been jolted back into reality - not everyone has this luxury.

I could get used to being a latchkey kid, haha although I'm no longer a kid. I suppose I use the term on myself cause I'll always be a kid to my parents. And besides it sounds better than 'adult' so I'm gonna use it as long as I can =P Makes me feel a little more independent.

So my Chinese New Year this year involved alot of running around, sweating like a pig, whining "it's sooooo hotttt~~~~~~~ ~_~", cleaning the house, doing laundry, doing the dishes...
_________

Chinese New Year this year has really been a lazy one. We didn't go visiting much, for the most part we were relaxing at home, something I think my parents sorely needed.

Although I did go out with reeis and steph on the 2nd day right after guama's huuuge lunch that I loved so much XD For the most bit we were talking and talking about everything under the sun, the pseudo-intellectual conversations as well as exploring the upper floor of the apartment.

Reminds me yet again of my dream studio.

When food came, we talked about food. We talked about everything around us, about people, about children and education aTnd how we should grow up having minds of our own and being able to think for ourselves, careers and how to survive doing what you love in a job, books that we own and read, me shamelessly promoting JIG and going to Starbucks, eating parfait, baked chocolate pudding and apple & pear crumble (of the 3 I think the baked chocolate pudding was the yummest)... aichan should've been there - it would have been perfect =3

Started work on Wed, it was actually pleasant to not have everyone in the office. Somehow the atmosphere cleared a little, we'd play our own music on speakers, and best of all drive out to lunch.

I say "drive out to lunch" cause on most occasions, everywhere else would be crowded, and given the limited time I'd say this was the best lunch outing I've had here XD went to mingtien and we literally pigged out, Feebs finally managed to "yak jiu" and E.Honda did the honour of buying us a plate of waffles with 3 scoops of ice cream and a banana split XD so yes, all was good =3 Surprisingly I didn't fall asleep 1 hour after lunch, normally I would if I've had a filling lunch. so yea. =3

We were also discussing where to have lunch on Friday, I think we've more or less settled on bak kut teh (FTW! YAY) nearby, the one facing the highway.

I have got very cute seniors. *nodnods*

Although they're not as much fun as the uncles (the devil and the monk haha!)

Looking at the lang files today really made my head spin. So many constants scattered everywhere, my goodness! I really wanted to help them clean up, but if I did so I wouldn't be able to complete my tasks at hand.

Still have the keyword issue to look into, and the rest of the translation files to update.

Oh, and the 3 ideas we have to present next week. I think I've got 2 but I still need to think of another, and work on the ideas on the existing 2.

Unchartered 2 is an awesome game, was cheering kor on as he was playing. They are the funny, and Drake can be such a monkey! The storyline is well done, and the gameplay I'd say was really funny when my bro decides that he's Bruce Lee against 4 gunmen around him and still takes all of them out, barely surviving. =P He'd also occasionally do stupid things like jumping off a building and purposely getting crushed by vertical spikes when he's not sure what he's supposed to do next.

Playing Bomberman with him was awesome fun too, played a couple of rounds. I think during the familiarization stage we kept walking into each other's bombs as they exploded, or that we'd trap each other with bombs, leaving no escape route. The time limit and the competitive gameplay makes it a good party game, quick and fun =3

Subscribed to Engadget and RWW on my Reader feed, fuuh alot of things going on in MWC - I think the main highlights for me were the Windows Mobile 7 Series and the plethora of gadgets introduced, especially the gems from HTC (HTC HD mini, Legend anyone?) and the buzz about Android 2.1... among other things. I also like the writeups on RWW about cloud computing and the hilarious comment-turned-google-fail "Facebook Wants to be your One True Login" post.

Noteworthy demos worth YouTube-ing about for me, probably concerning Microsoft's Project Natal. The one with Milo really blew me away... Although people might be more prone to being social retards but with stuff like that, I am all for it! And the Paint demo was absolutely cute~~ Gaming for the future really looks like awesome fun, and I honestly think the Wii kinda paved the way for Natal's impending greatness - whole body interaction at least gets people off their feet and their minds more engaged into it. yummy.

geekfactor++!
