a really fun weekend
Last weekend was a blast!
First off, there was Eileen's 22nd birthday on Friday.
Went to the Ying-Ammie-Alex-Jason house @ Dalpura Court for the birthday dinner. Pasta, beehoon, fried wantan, chicken wings, mashed potatoes and shepherd's pie was on the menu that night.
After that we decided to go out to the park and play... Damn it was cold, but it was kinda fun... we were acting like a bunch of crazy kids, screaming and yelling and playing with sparklers in the dark (in case I haven't mentioned it, lamp posts are a rarity here)
After we got frozen properly we decided to head back and play Heart Attack (you know, that card game...) I think the major losers for that night were SuLee and Jason. Hahaha and when Eileen FINALLY lost we really made her drink a gigantic mug of water... I bet everyone's bladders were full to bursting by the time we were done (except for the sly sly Surina who cleverly escaped detection as one who hadn't lost)

On Saturday & Sunday there was the trip to Great Ocean Road. The trip there took us freaking 6 hours... @__________@ It was SUCH a pity that it rained throughout the day, making it really cloudy. I was just thankful the rain stopped by the time we got there.

But we did manage to go to the all-famous 12 Apostles, Loch & Gorge, London Bridge & the Bay of Islands. Sure, sure, it was a bunch of rocks for the most part, but I think I just loved the fact that we were near the ocean. How I miss the sea breeze (although it was freaking cold!) James' daughter is really really really cute! I think she made the trip even more enjoyable cause everyone wanted to take photos with her (after we were done with the touristy shots) so she was like an added bonus.
The fact that I was foolish enough to assume that a sweater would be enough made it abit miserable, but better than nothing. Thank god I brought the scarf.. Seriously it saved me.
Spent the night @ Ocean House, Port Campbell. During the night we chilled (in a VERY literal sense) on the porch, drinking watery coffee and snacking. Once we got too cold, Dom, Eileen, Sharon & I went into the house and sat by the heater. Oh that heater was a godsend, we loved it to bits! You could experience first-hand what frozen meat feels like when it's thawing... the feeling was wonderful.
After awhile, once everyone else froze themselves properly, they decided to come in as well. For the most part, it was just stoning around the heater.. What with Sharon & I lying on the couch, the rest stoning on the chairs around the room, and Nick lying on the coffee table like some sacrifice victim, we were there for about an hour.. listening to tunes from Dom's handphone. Nick likes Googoo Dolls' Iris alot (hey who doesn't, that song's a classic and I don't think it'll ever go out of style X3) and Dom's phone has a lot of really retro songs~~

The ride back was abit crappy for me cause my jeans got wet when we were at the beach @ Port Campbell.. I didn't expect the waves to come up so far into the shore. Wearing wet socks, shoes and jeans for 6 hours isn't exactly fun.
That aside, I absolutely loved this trip. I took loads of panoramic shots (which I've yet to join up, I tell you it'll be a beaut once they're done... I hope to have time to T________T)
**
I kinda pitied Nick and Sharon for abit though; everyone else was trying to pair them up... It was funny at the start though. After that I decided to drop out cause it would be damn weird, after all we're housemates...
