a holiday spent

The last 7 days were heaven. But happiness is not forever.

I think for the first three days, it was nothing but playing suikodenIII. I'm now @ geddoe's chapter 3. After that, I think should be about midway through the entire story. >_< I so wanna play....

I always loved the suiko art...but suiko3 gameplay was kinda disappointing. When they run, they look like they're shuffling. And the characters look kinda blocky.. The battles are tad troublesome too, since now I can't control individual characters but have to deal with them a pair at a time. Not only that, the way the characters attack is hilarious. They run around in circles so that the character actually faces the monster, then attacks. It looks pretty silly, but at least the end justifies the means. As long as the freaking thing is dead, I get my EXP and potch. XD The nice part though, is that I still get to see the charas from the previous suikos.. Sasarai always looks like a brat, and he says he's over 30. Something about the True Runes and immortality I guess. Also, *shock* Yuber looks ridiculous! In suiko2 he looked really cool, but looking at him in suiko3.. I didn't know wether to laugh or cry. And Nash from suikogaiden is there! He looks..more..um..sly. Conniving. I don't know. He seems to be flirting with Chris..and he's married?! Wonder who his wife is..better not be Sierra. It'd be freaky.

And yeah, the 'silver maiden' rocks!XD Chris is cool, and to top it off, she's got an entire military to control! hehe, not to mention the 5 other knights of Zexen who are always at her heels. I think Percival is the most neutral and the best of the lot (even though when in combat he's the lousiest; always the first to die..) and at least, unlike the others, he doesn't 'like' her. Salome is still strange to look at. Get a haircut, seriously. *laughs*

Almost forgot - on Friday went to an Edboard meeting. Yeah, I'm part of the graphics team. I woulda preferred features, but it was filled out. *sigh* Just the graphics people. It was a...very interesting bus ride. Took me nearly 2 hours to get there using public transport. Plus the wait for the bus and the weather (it was raining really bad).. When I did get there~ heh. That's another matter. The gist of it was narrowing our selection of themes for the front cover down..like really down. And comparing drafts we created. Mine were, pretty... last-minute looking. But the rest of them did some really cool stuff. XP shows that I need more practice.

Oh!!! And I..I.. actually tried CGing! XD I was looking @ kidchan's tutorial...and so.. I kinda slowly coloured a picture..or two.. which I'm gonna put up..when I feel its ok for public viewing. Should be soon. And trying to inspire myself to draw uchiha itachi for onee-chan~

On Saturday, ah ee treated us to lunch @ Marche. XD It's a nice place, interesting concept, and nice food. Followed by coffee at Starbucks next door! XDXDXD It was actually to celebrate my...um..getting...good..SPM results.. *looks away*

Then when I got home, I asked my dad about my results..eeps. 1A, 2Bs, 1C and 1D (that being specialist math XP). Time to work harder, yes yes.

Now I'm back in college, with homework and more else besides. Common tests begin on Friday. April Fool's. It would be wonderful if they suddenly sprung on us and say, "April fool! There' s no specialist math CT today~" but.. hehehe. That would be dreaming.
