sam charity drive
I didn't think SAM would be so bustling.. But it's great fun (aside that ESL assignment due next wednesday *sobs*) cause:
1) it means a day of no class *yay*
2) it's fun just to chill out with classmates - kinda like a big party
Aanyway. The day started off with me lugging the books to school, blur to the pretty obvious fact that there would be no classes. It's true; who the heck would return to books after such a fun event? It's common sense that students generally have a short attention span.
My class was selling cheesecake. It's actually just a little thing, cause hengteng, yaufei and co. already collected quite a bit from sam fest. I remember because liyen's mom didn't bake enough, so we (that's me and liyen) rushed out to Secret Recipe just down the road to buy another one~ 5 minutes later rowena was calling to say that we'd run out of cake. 5 minutes! no kidding! we were practically running back after that.
We were just walking around seeing what the rest were doing. There were some that were interesting;
1)K3's dodgeball competition: lessee, I'm sure my class took part. yeehou, sooguan, kenseong and vincent. I have no idea what their team name was, but they were up against the FFs. Yea that's right. The 5jati FFs. *laughs* most were from Jati anyway, I vaguely remember there being an 'outsider' in their team. But! our class lost..hehehe.
2)The hair spraying: Charngyang was looking for people to sponsor so that he could make them look ridiculous. Since I was in a hah-challenge-me mood (or maybe I'm just crazy) I took it up. He made me have white spots sprayed on my hair. He was paying for it anyway. "So I'm gonna parade around the drive, and in redbox looking like this..doinkey." Or so I thought. Some people say I look like a dalmation (huh?! oh well) and my mom personally thought it looked like there was mold growing on my head. aiseh.
3)kingyou sukui: You know, at those japanese festivals, it's always a favourite to try and catch some goldfish to keep? This is it, right here in TCSJ. It's fun, and the guy manning the stall is right; you need patience to succeed. hehe. I managed to catch one, but I decided to return it to them cause I was gonna go redbox later, and no way the goldfish is gonna last that long in a plastic bag. It'd be dead @ redbox, not a sight to behold indeed. And so my ownership of that cute little goldfish which I instinctively named ken-chan (no reference to anyone okay, so don't get any funny ideas) only lasted about 20 minutes.
4)Food: There was alotalotalot of food. Lessee, marshmallows dipped in chocolate, burgers, drinks, mineral water, jellies, cakes, currypuffs, pasta..The list seems endless. But useful. XD
5)T1's dunking machine!: I'm pretty sure all scouters were involved hehehe. The most notable thing about it has to be the fact that they Dunked the Programme Director Mrs Mary NG! fuuhsai chunnya!
6)S6's 'big shot': Or something like that anyway. I think the fun part is that people got to cover this physics teacher in water and white powder. Just too bad he was wearing a raincoat.
7)The DDR Machine!: Someone brought the mats, and a TV, and a PS2! I just had to go on it, even if it's just once!
8)Someone brought a super-cute doggy! And liyen had to take a picture of it. Who wouldn't?
Was sweating buckets okay, the day was hot! Example: When you're trying to squeeze your way past the foyer the place reeks of sweat. After that though most of us gathered at LT1 to witness vincent, denny and chinyuan (the 3 main shufflers) do the shuffle~ which was entertaining in its own way.
I realized Vincent was raving on and on and on about some hot chick (aih, guys)..and in reference to kenseong's post, he had the galls to do something random and unexpected. After that he just sorta went high and exclaiming throughout the day, "Oh my gawd oh my God!"
