kingdom of heaven
I'm so happy my midyear's over~ YayyyY! I'm finally free from the ardous task of studying, something I never enjoyed much. XD
Went to see karhorng and gang to settle some EdBoard stuff.. now I'm stuck doing TOC w/ eevon. Oh well, shouldn't be too hard.
After that was fun though, since most of us went to pyramid to watch kingdom of heaven. Hengteng is crazy man, he was playing around with kenny just driving round the bend...oh well. XP Liyen was to meet her boyfriend there, so too bad but she didn't join us. She watched it already anyway, and today she was off to see 'peperangan bintang'. XD Kwokthye joined us today, he rushed from Help to Sunway since his class finished @ 11 and our show was at 1130.
below will surely contain super super spoilers so unless you've watched the movie or you just don't care about it, you are given permission to read =D
Funny though, it's rated U but you should see the real violence in that show. It's really gory, I can't even go into detail cause I simply don't know how to describe it.
Mainly on the Crusades where Orlando Bloom plays Balian, the son of Godfrey, Baron of Ibelin. He's such a genius~ even though they were doomed to defeat in their battle against Sala'din (I'm guessing that's how its spelt cause goddamit the subtitles really suck) he managed to force Sala'din into compromise for the sake of the people of Jerusalem and the city itself. My hats off to you, man. XD Though chengyee was just drooling over him because he looked good. sheesh.
And I really really loved the king of Jerusalem. A leper, but wise in words and noble in character. I loved that mask of his, cause it's cool. Can't find any other reason. =D I'm just so sorry he died far too soon but not before defacing Chateau Reynald , curse the (^$(#&$^.
Sala'din is cool too. Oh man, this show has alot of cool characters. He is a good strategist, and has human compassion, that I'm glad for. But he sure is merciless. With a 200000-strong army against a miserable defense comprising of a few men, women, children and the elderly, he sure gave it to them. There was this part where he picked up a Christian relic that was on the floor and placed it upright on a table. I thought that was very liberal of him, something I find rare in past civilizations, and maybe even in today's world.
I have nothing to say about Sybilla since she was a very minor character anyway. Just that she can look really scary especially after she cut her hair. kowaii nanoyo. But the priest that worked with the Baron of Ibelin was a really nice guy too..at least for one he had his heart and his head at the right place, and more importantly knew where the fine line that divides religion and fanaticism lie. I salute him for that. I respect people like that.
