I was pleasantly surprised, I thought here was a real chance of landing a job! Really really. Was in the middle of my Software Engineering tutorial when a Ms Yoko called.

Wasn't until I got home and thought of doing a little homework on this company that this thread on Lowyat popped up.. and THEN it got me thinking.

  1. When I tried to open their site, all I got was a "Site Under Construction" message. Things started going downhill (for them) from here.
  2. I don't even remember applying for this sort of job. Management Trainee?!@___@ I rummaged through my applications list, and I didn't even find my application for this job. Nor would I apply even if I found it anyway.
  3. I remember getting Jobstreet to NOT release my private details on my searchable resume without contacting me first. Having no.1 confirmed, no.2 struck out like a sore thumb. How could they have gotten my number then?!
  4. Thank goodness for the power of Internet. Did some simple Googling and found some very interesting threads on Lowyat.net indeed.

Funny thing was I was going to call back tomorrow. So now I just emailed them saying thanks but no thanks. I'm a pacifist, not gonna burn them on the stake unless they drive me into doing so.

I'm still annoyed at Jobstreet freely releasing my details for some random idiot's perusal without contacting me.
