a walrus on an iceberg
I'm happy today cause the presentation went pretty well. Unexpectedly though, I didn't really screw up, but the shaky hands and the cold fingers remained. After the presentation, though, a sudden warmth surged throughout my entire body, making myself feel more relaxed. I think I was really happy that I got it done and over with. Maybe it wasn't all that bad cause the earlier group doing the same topic was pretty lousy, in my opinion. All they did was recite the questions, and that was it. "Huh? That's it? You're not even going to answer the questions posed?" was what ran through my mind. So the practice did me some good. At least I knew how it was more or less going to sound like. yayy~ ^_^
Vincent was just saying that he wanted to go to Times Square. I just cringed. URGHH. We(me+ken seong) were desperately persuading him to go everywhere else but there. I mean, there is absolutely nothing there apart from the IMAX theatre. Not that I'm overly estatic about it either, but that seems to be the most interesting feature of the entire complex to the public eye. We just felt some sort of pity as he seemed pretty decided on going there. Oh well. Good luck. XP
Then after break, on entering class, the whole gang of guys were doing 'shuffling' or something of the sort. They're planning to go clubbing on Friday, and so just learning how to dance so that they wouldn't lose out. It was damn funny. I mean they looked like they were tripping more than anything else. denny and vincent apparently know how, but seeing chinyuan and yee hou do it was hilarious. Halfway through they were cursing and tripping around. chinyuan was practially whining,"I can't do it with my right leg, I look retarded...shuffling to the left definitely much easier..blablabla"
Much to the surprise of the others, yee hou is more flexible than your average guy. *laughs* yeah, they were very amazed watching him do spilts(without splitting his jeans, which was rewarded with applause throughout the class) and the bridge from a standing position...kinda like what guama would say,"These kind of people have too much free time after meals..."
After class, went to check out the society membership drive at the multi-purpose hall(MPH). Compared to high school, this place has a really small amount of societies. It struck me as strange; I thought now was the time that it would be really booming. I guess not.
Got a lift back from Aaren. Man is his car small. fuuh. 4 of us at the back seat was stifling. So I was especially glad when the 3 girls got off at khei sheen's place. Finally, some proper space to sit. XD Especially when making those sharper turns the whole car could just lurch to one side. Just enough so that we wouldn't crash into the others sitting on the edges and crush them, or something close to it. Also, the weather was hot, and the ac was abit crappy. It couldn't be helped though, as his car was a really obsolete-looking Toyota.
*thinking*
*do you hear silence?*
I realize I remember what the guys do more than what the girls do in class. The guys are definitely a more interesting bunch, since they're the ones offloading crap in class during each and every period. But the other girls in class are especially...useful, shall I say...in homework matters. XD But I feel so guilty, like I'm so dumb.. >_<
