KL Swingers' Mid Year Party @ Fauziah's

For one thing, the food was AWESOME! And it was all home-cooked! (In a pretty clean kitchen too despite the mayhem - I'm amazed, really!)

I thought I couldn't find the place, but the instructions were so easy! It looked like there was nothing going on from the outside.. so yea I stood outside for abit. Then I saw someone whose name I couldn't remember (I think it was Kay).. Just when I was thinking how to call out to people in the house I saw Jord so I thought "yay correct house!" and granted myself entry XD

Got there about 8ish thinking that the food woulda disappeared, but as it happens they were all still sitting around chatting *phew! The 'adults' were on one end talking stuff, us less inclined sat on the other end.. So I think it was mostly with Chris, Jord, Peru+i (in between the 2 syllables XD) and her friend Shasha. The chef was busy prepping behind so we helped ourselves to the appetizers while waiting for the real deal XD: Houmus, Moutabel & Foul Maulamas served with fried lebanese bread.

And when the food was finally ready, we were all hounding the table XD

Wait I gotta refer to the event to see the menu again. =P

From the host chef:
1) Kabsa Lamb/Chicken - Kabsa rice cooked together with lamb/chicken
2) Arabic salsa & Jajik to go with Kabsa rice
3) Syapsyuka served with lebanese bread (egg caserole dish with lamb) & condiments

From guest chefs:
1) Awesome brownies
2) Tauhu bakar & rojak
3) Tiramisu

I can't decide on a fave.. we just walloped everything in sight! The syapsyuka was better with super-runny eggs compared to the cooked eggs and I forgot to eat it with the bread, I ate it with rice instead. Still yummy~~ Jord stole the salsa so when I went back for a 2nd helping he was just cleaning out the serving bowl! *pif. The brownies looked stiff on the outside but oh-so-moist and chocolatey and YUMMY on the inside! And the tiramisu just melts in your mouth! Laced with good amounts of rum too XD No complaints here~~

The Arabic coffee had an interesting aroma.. tasted slightly bitter like a tea kind of bitter.. together with tiramisu it was a good combo (oh, and dates too). Had 2 cups of it (maybe this is why I'm still awake now, ohnoes~)

AFTER that though, we sat down to a round of Uno.. which was a slow-paced game. Ok, so no exciting stuff there. After that though, people started leaving in droves* booey!* and the 2 contending Pictionary teams of the night were:

Team1 *we won! yay XD*
Guat Seng
Chris - "Why did you have to make me say rubber duckie?" (the actual word was 'rubber duck')
Ming
Me - Kept focusing too much on the drawing and forgetting the actual word or I forgot to open my mouth and say "correct!" because I forgot the actual word. At one point (the word was 'whip', and Chris guessed it right) I nudged him a couple of times, then I had to ask him - "Eh is that the actual word?" to which I got a reply "WTF? You don't remember the word?!" Didn't happen once, but TWICE. (or more la, but definitely more than once)

Team2
Jord
Hock Siew - towards the end the pressure was on him to win! =P
Fauziah
Marion - I swear this woman is psychic! Just scribble a line or two and she'll get the answer! Also, she jinxes the dice like no other can. =P Oh, and eating 11 scoops of Haagen Dasz in one sitting? I salute~

And I got asked quite a number of times "Eh where's Aizat?/Is Aizat coming?/Didn't you come with Aizat?" hahaha! See dude, people thought of you!

Random fact: Jord is 3 days older than me~

Oh that was good. Real good XD
