Tribute to yiiminek’s last day here
Today was vincent’s last day in KL, so we kidnapped him for the day. First stop, breakfast at Hengteng’s mom’s eatery (HP Towers Café) in (duh) the HP building, right next door to another more isolated HELP campus. XP Houhou fetched me at about 9-something (here I assumed early 9-something, but they came around 10) and we went to the main building. Only to be told by hengteng that it was waay over there, an additional 5-10 minute walk I think. It was nice and windy though, so it was pretty refreshing. Hung out there for abit, while having breakfast and crapping, the 5 of us (hengteng, kim, vincent, houhou, me) until about noon. Saw hueyning on the way out! XD she still looks as cute as ever~
Then vincent suggested to go ice-skating at pyramid. Attired in shorts, shirt and slippers, we had to head back to MyPlace to get socks for kim and let him change into jeans. So this is where his housemates, Nguyen, Bob and Shawn got in to join us as well~ but they had to head to the accomodation office cause they were stuck without water for 2 days...on the way there (had to make a lil’ roundabout) the guys were discussing how to present their case;
“You know we brushed our teeth with only 2 drops of water in one minute, this is even worse than in Vietnam…there people get 3 drops of water….” (by Bob, referring to Nguyen)
“Even Shawn is smelly, he still wants to take a bath you know…” (by Vincent)
“We can’t take a shit cause we can’t flush the damn toilet…”(by Shawn)
Next stop, Sunway Pyramid. Originally (here too~? XP) we were supposed to hunt for Denny’s present, but since vincent wanted to go ice skating, that idea was scrapped. Hahah~ so yeah, we went ice skating instead. For the first time in my life. ^__^ the only prior experience I ever had close to it was when akagami was teaching me how to rollerblade, and that was only for 10 minutes and it was almost 7 years ago @___@ so yes this had to be my highlight of the day. Paying 20 bucks (this was already at student discount too) was well…okay I guess since I don’t know when I’m ever gonna go ice skating again. The shoes were suffocating and tight and stiff, definitely not used to it. Kim and houhou told me its so that users reduce risk of getting ankle sprains. It was a funny feeling wearing them, like trudging around in really stiff tight boots.
The ticket that kinda made us look like hospital patients~ but for the fun of falling on ice I guess I can forgive that XD
Gloves that broke my fall XD It was pretty soggy after.. looks like those little kid gloves, but it fit pretty nicely. and more importantly served its purpose.
Like all first-timers, I fell. Again and again. It’s cold, and it’s wet. But it’s not that difficult to get up again. I had to self-teach since the others skated off already (I feel like an idiot, since all of them skated at least once before) and well I progressed, even if its from slowly gliding to lifting my left foot to move. XD It was fun trying, and while doing so seeing everyone else skate around like professionals~ すごい です!みんな は プロ 見たい に、うらやましい な。After awhile, my feet started to hurt terribly, and felt crampy for abit. I’m afraid to fall, so I guess I was pretty tense throughout. I kept on telling myself, “Please don’t fall….And even if I do let me get up quick..” And think it’s easy learning? Boy, it’s blardy tiring. I think it was really embarassing when shawn asked me “You’re still here?!” when I thought I had traversed about half the rink. T___T but it was funny in a way. Choryeow, evelyn and kenken only came at bout 2-something, and they didn’t join us. Piffety. So instead they took a picture of us in the rink~ I wonder who has the picture, I want too. Bob was really nice, he tried (haha for awhile at least) to teach me how to skate, and he had to lead me out of the rink.. Thanks~ XD and hey he can shuffle on ice too! It was so amusing, but he only did it once.
After that went to have short lunch at KFC. Didn’t eat, no mood to. On top of that, my pants were wet due to falling on the ice so many times..siigh. Somehow feel like going again. Maybe I’ll get better with practice hahaha~ even if it means falling. And I’ll take meianne’s advice; wear jeans. *nodnods* vincent had a flight to catch at 6, so we went back to MyPlace to chill for abit and for them to finish packing their stuff. As the rain was continuously pouring throughout the day we had pretty cool weather.
First thing I heard from vincent on entering the apartment, and into his room he shared with Bob and Nguyen: “OMG WTF it stinks like crap here la weii!! OMG” and the 4 of them went on lamenting bout their predicament. Wow, Vincent has a lot of luggage for a guy. He went on to remark, “You know Bob? At the start of the year he only had 5 shirts in his entire cupboard, now I think he’s got about 50 shirts in there…” while Shawn or Nguyen was sitting on the couch talking crap bout their lack of water and the pile of crap in the bathrooms that’s causing the entire apartment to stink (these people…=___=)
The next major haul (literally) was to get the luggage down from the 5th floor to the ground floor via staircase, since there conveniently was no lift. Bob who got to carry the biggest luggage bag was practically rolling the luggage down the stairs. After the 4th floor, he took a deep breath, heaved the luggage bag onto his shoulder and ran the rest of the way down. @__@ To vincent’s dismay, his dad got lost on the way to Subang, some wrong turn caused him to end up in Puchong (we were all @___@) and so choryeow offered to give him (and his humongous pile of luggage – 3 suitcases, 2 backpacks and a huge bag which fitted 2 folding chairs and a lot of other stuff) a ride to KLIA if his dad couldn’t make it in time. Luckily he wasn’t subjected to that, otherwise they’d have a lot of trouble with the luggage. So instead we took a short drive to Sunway Monash where his dad and his sister was waiting for him. And so we said our goodbyes to vincent.
That done, houhou brought us to this mini gokart track somewhere in Sunway too. Just to check things out Pretty dismal since the track was small, and the prices that came with it was unbelievable. There was a paintball field somewhere, but that was pretty small too. Even though they had a mini lake (I’m guessing it’s a mining lake) that they converted to some jetskiing place it was all calm water…and here you have kenken saying how fun it is only with the waves about (I mean, he did go to penang and play with the rest of the gang, and the price was reasonable too) which made me wish I went with them. Wishing to the wind, we proceeded out. And back home. Houhou sent kim back first, then me~ thanks so much houhou for Prado-ing me everywhere today~
