missing

This week's my last waitressing week; after that it's seriously time to pack.

Working's definitely a fun experience at the beginning when you're learning the ropes, but once you've gotten used to it the routine starts to bite at your sanity. It can get that bit boring (especially when the customer count is pretty low) but if you have people to joke around with it'll make the experience so much more fun.

Just thinking of the things I'll miss about work @ fish&co:

  • I think I'll miss Bard for her scoldings and being grumpy and all kakak-abang-like.
  • I'll definitely not miss Vince's PMS sessions
  • I'll miss watching Dicky bite people (although so far I've only seen him bite Dinnesh but that's enough thanks)
  • I miss Lin alreadyyy (I know her last day's yesterday and she's headed back to UTP on Thurs)
  • I definitely miss working with Elvin (he's such a korkor figure! XD)
  • I will also miss Sam's goofiness and his fair complexion which I make fun of especially because he's an active swimmer
  • And because they're so fun to watch (although I don't know if the managers are gonna let them work together for long because the seme tends to goof off in a smartass manner more than the uke) I might miss Mak and Justin (Mak's better looking and more decent)
  • I'll miss playing pool with Elvin and Sam during the afternoon breaks on full day shifts
  • I won't miss Ash stepping on my shoes (cishness... T_T)
  • I will miss Makcik!
  • I'll miss the kitchen staff (most of them of which I don't really know their names, I hope you all don't bite me for it) for all the smiles they've tried to force out of me thinking that I have an uncanny tendency to be depressed and all the staff meals which were interesting and which I was really really thankful for (you have no idea how much you appreciate food until you've worked for it)
  • I don't miss opening or closing... blardy tiring (opening because you do it alone and closing because there's so much more to do compared to opening)
  • Will miss all those crapass conversations with Ryan and his showoff skills shooting hoops at the arcade, but I have to hand it to him - he's pretty good at it
  • The managers are really nice people, I will miss how nice they are to me despite all the mistakes I've made (which adds up to quite a bit, and this is really not me being a relentless perfectionist where one mistake makes a big deal)
sigh.

All in all, well Vince did prove his point; that we are all like family. We like each other, we hate each other, but in the end everything works out fine.

As hypocritical as I may be as I typed that last line, I realize it holds true for my family as well. We'll always stick up for each other even though we really get at each other's necks at other times.

What a miracle.
