what a day..

curse my rotten luck. CURSES!

Went for the IT Awards Presentation ceremony.. had a little lunch.. took some photos, listened to some speeches, and after which the day progressed as usual.

Little did I know that taking the stairs instead of the lift down would change all that.

I missed a step and fell, spraining my ankle (I think). Frigging hurts man! I was clutching my leg, and one of the cleaner ladies rushed over and asked me if I was ok. Then this other dude who was about to exit to the third floor came down and asked me if I was feeling ok... haha I think I was feeling the pain in its full force at the time so I scowled, "No, I'm not okay, but I'll live." Then Ms Edwina and Ms Charmaine and some other ladies helped me up and half-carried me and half-supporting me to the chairs near the student center.

Sat around for abit, panicking, feeling this surge of hopelessness and a massive feeling of stupidity. "Shit, it takes a true genius to get into this.. How could I have been so careless! It's a frigging stairway, I don't remember where the extra step came from, I'm sure I was at the last step...How could I have been so stupid... " echoed in my mind while talking to my dad, and thinking of what I'm gonna do next.

My saviour of the day really was YK =) He was nice enough to agree to drive me home (in my car =P) so we waited around for abit.. Ms Charmaine brought a bag of ice and requested for a wheelchair.. Now this business about the wheelchair - I was abit hesitant to use it at first, really insisting on using crutches. First thought was, "Since when do they have a wheelchair?" Also, bloody hell there'll surely be people staring at me. "Like some sort of superstar," I mused. And guess what, I was right. The moment the dude came with the wheelchair, I got on it, and looked around. Everyone sort of stopped in their tracks at least for a split second, wondering what had happened to me. Even when I was wheeled out of Building 2, people from the top floor of the library were looking at me.. ~___~ I even remembered my exact reaction = "はずかしい。。。"

cw saw me on the wheelchair and she was squealing in excitement, shock and... happiness? haha! Therefore, "Like some sort of superstar." wasn't just a mere musing. =P She did want to take pictures of me, which I let her haha just because it was a once-in-a-lifetime thing (hopefully!~_~)

Now I'm stuck in my living room with an effing painful ankle to add to my current maladies of a sore-ish throat and a stuck-ish left ear.

Just brilliant.
