4th day of Chinese New Year: going visiting.
Officially, today’s the first day I went visiting. XP For the past few days, I’ve either been visited by my dad’s friends or going out.
Went to my grandaunt’s house somewhere in subang. I was just thinking, ‘I should go check out where Eley stays too, so that I know where to go next week. XP’ I didn’t (not yet anyway; mom was getting on my nerves rushing everyone everywhere even though there’s nothing to rush). What was surprising was that awhile after we were there, Teacher Pat came over too! XD Well apparently my grandaunt’s daughter is a friend of hers~ so of course I was surprised XP Didn’t expect to see her at all till Saturday. XD
With that done, and everyone hungry, we went to Midvalley for lunch and just to hang out. Animetech actually sells original CDs! O_o whoa. At about RM200 per piece for soundtracks which I think is seriously expensive. (Who said tax doesn’t kill?) They also do CD orders (although they take almost 2 months to get here) which is a good point. I might consider it seriously, especially if I really want those OSTS like gankutsuou or something. I saw it in Tokyo selling for about RM150 (umm, about... ¥3200..I think..) Piffety, shoulda bought it there and then.T__T
Followed bros to the arcade. Aaaww, the EZ2Dancer machine isn’t there anymore, and all the guys were freaky imitating the dancer on the ParaPara machine >_> If those were girls, it would be pretty cool, but not guys shaking their bonbons and imitating every move. It just looks wrong. Most of them were crowding around the InitialD and the versus games like Tekken5 and Soul Calibur 2. The shooting games, well, they’re still stuck with Time Crisis2 and House of the Dead 2 >_> Got bored after awhile. I wanted to see someone play keisatsukan (it’s fun to watch them evade the gunshots and stuff) but there was noone there, booey.
Walked on to see 2 lions sitting in front of Sinma for a full 5 minutes while everyone gathered there just to hear a bunch of loud noise. >_> didn’t see the point in staying, so I walked on. Went to this model shop which I still revere since it has such nice models. Considered some models there as presents for ai-chan or reeis, but personally, I was looking for that gennosuke (from Basilisk) model I saw in Akihabara selling for about ¥3500. Piffety, they didn’t have it. But the Alphonse i-doll looked really nice~ I-doll because, it actually talks (or rather, saved phrases from the anime) and the make was quite nice. There was also a set of ichigo mashimaro models (a set of 4) selling for RM120, which I was interested (matsuri is still the cutest! XD but of the four in the set, Ana looked the best.)
After having drooled myself dry, (T___T) went to MPH to browse. This also happens to be the first time I see guys around my age (I guess the guy is 16 or 17, but still) browsing classics and literature. And no, he didn’t look like a nerd at all. Surprise, surprise. Also saw a father trying to convince his son (okay, not convince, nearly pressuring) to read Asterix to Calvin and Hobbes. I say go for both! Calvin and Hobbes because you will never ever see a 6-year-old talk the way he does XDXD and Asterix because...well, because...it’s educational. Really XD
Went to visit lau ee in Sentul. I can see why guama says that she could use some packing up. Not that the house is dirty, but things are strewn almost everywhere. I can also see the resemblance; she looks like a fatter guama. XP Dad asked me, “Have you seen your lau ee, guama and their mom talk together? It’s total chaos. Everyone’s talking at the same time, but they still manage to understand each other...” o_o Wow.
