ahoy laddies.

Went to watch Pirates of the Carribean 2 : The Dead Man’s Chest with ojimaru. He’s gotten more talkative since I last remember XD quite an interesting change.

I like Captain Jack Sparrow. XD Who doesn’t? His outfit is very, very nice. Not to mention his rather sissy style of running and handling stuff (somehow this quirk reminds me of L of Deathnote). It’s like he’s gotten hit by the monkey too many a time.

I really wonder why his compass doesn’t work.

“Aha, Jack Sparrow does not know what he wants~” -Tia Dalma

Davey Jones pouts! omgwtfbbq! It’s soo amusing to watch him! Pretty good antagonist with very cool tentacles around his face. I like. His crew’s pretty cool though, roguish and yet I really like how the slime and whatever it is which fits into the scheme of things.

Mr William Turner is nothing more than a pretty boy to me, like how useless Beckham is to the England team. Drool-worthy though, a reason enough for hordes of girls to watch the show.

‘Bootstrap Bill’ Turner reminds me of this antagonist (well even the doubtful evil side is quite similar) in the movie ‘The Promise’ (which if you ask me holds absolutely NO promise). The antagonist in mention (after, hmm… 5 mins of searching) : Snow Wolf.

Miss Elizabeth Swann is headstrong, pretty (somewhat), clever (cunning, more like – but noone beats Captain Jack at this) and doesn’t know who she wants more. But her little gimmick with the wedding dress is quite ingenuous.

If you haven’t watched the show, do observe the side characters more, the rest of the crew of the Pearl is quite interesting in itself. Like the dude with the glass eye and his true-blue pirate partner (they’re seen together most of the time), the second-in-command who is more sensible and grounded (XP maybe not sound like a compliment to a man of the sea to be grounded, but hey it’s true) as well as the Indian guy with a mouth smarter than his brain.

I feel that Percy Wetmore from the movie Green Mile has a personality (or a detestable aura) similar to Mr Beckett.

The slapstick humor for the masses is pulled off pretty well (since I can guarantee even the dullest wit can understand what’s so funny) but not exactly to my liking. Maybe cause I didn’t watch the prequel I was caught off guard. I do like the witty lines the scriptwriter came up with in some parts though.

Pirate-style music is so damn cute! XDXD I like those tunes in the bars, or while the crew are at work on sea.

Oh gosh, the islands look so perfect; like a holiday island. I bet if they were to make another movie of marooned islanders (or whatever involving an island) like Lord of the Flies or Robinson Crusoe it would fit in just nicely.

spoiler: damn that cliffhanger ending.
