and so the chaos begins.
When you've not gone to uni for 3 weeks or more, you feel comfortable (somewhat) having to step back in. And with it embrace all the chaos that awaits you in the classrooms and lecture theatres (and computer lab sessions for the IT students like me).
Strangely enough, I didn't see the morning foyer gang where they're supposed to be; I guess I was late. I first saw Penny & Rachel (hehe they didn't change much) and later on Calvin (haircut, haircut - this isn't the most shocking yet) near the finance counters. Penny apparently hasn't fixed her timetable due to some complications,
Attended my first lecture of the day - netdata comms. (I didn't go for the macro tut since I haven't even gone for the lecture) I couldn't recognize zz since he dyed his hair; the biggest shock as to be

Mr Tham is pretty edgy – he keeps fidgeting and walking about like he’s very nervous (macamlah cacing kepanasan) But on a closer inspection, I have this gut feeling he’s that bit of a fusspot and is trying to come across as a practical-minded person (aren’t most of the male species like that?) but he sure knows how to reiterate the same bunch of stuff a few times over before moving on to the next point – in short, ‘grandfather-storied’. Kinda reminds me of my math teacher in Form3 (Mr Low, I think) who was super duper particular about a lot of little little things that really infuriated ai-chan and I. Some of it included having to underline in red, margins in blue, must have a date, must have a naming convention for each exercise we did as homework, must have corrections in a certain format. It came to a point where she hated him so bad she just retaliated. The unreasonable pothead deserved it anyway for pushing her buttons. After that he didn’t really tamper with her anymore though – but I do remember it being the talk of the class for awhile. XD Looks also like the type of lecturer Calvin has to buy a tin of coffee to attend his lectures with otherwise he’ll start sleeping (not that I’ve ever seen him do it before – but when he’s sleepy it’s pretty obvious XP since he keeps blinking himself awake and talking gulps of coffee in between Ms Elsa’s lectures) Apparently he had worked for Compaq Singapore before this and he admits to feeling more comfortable having us call him by name which I think is a tactic to get us to warm up to him. Let’s face it; respect towards elders is a major thing, especially here in Asia where you can’t simply call seniors by name unless you know what shit you’re gonna get into later) Effort appreciated though.
When the lecture was over, yk sent me a message: “Are you guys done? It’s so damn boring here @ MUSA” so we had to go rescue him before he starts sulking or something XD Of course, I know he doesn’t do that – heck, he’s the one who started Alvin’s Anti-Smoking Campaign (Alvin’s pack of cigs he bough from last sem is still sitting in zz’s locker) and it’s, well, kicking in – even during lunch he doesn’t smoke in front of yk! Talk about progress. The fact that yk is able to (practically) twist
Next lecture (and last one too) of the day was programming 2 – there were only 10 people or so (7 of us on one side and 3 on the other) I was thinking there’d be a little more though.

OMG my lecturer’s a true bleu French! Sacre bleu! He’s pretty young too, I think Darren was saying he’s an equivalent of David from last sem – teaching while studying. But I think David’s more of a research student than anything) and I haven’t seen any lecturer in jeans and jacket~ added X-factor too that he looks pretty kakkoi X3 This is really a first. Ha-ha, no I don’t have interest in lecturers unless the reasons are strictly educational. On Allocate they just put his name as Mohamed, so I was absolutely expecting some Muslim dude (not from the European quarter of the world) so yea it was pretty (pleasantly?) surprising. I guess in some sense I could put him on a stand with Mr Mushtak (the
After class was the first time I had seen the engineering dudes since the outing to Pyramid. *laughs* Why does Juice keep getting my hand phone number wrong? *shrugs* I say this cause after they left me @ Pyramid during that last outing he felt pretty uncomfortable leaving me there alone to wander and so he actually tried calling me to check and see if I was okay. ^__^ Isn’t that nice? Not many guys I know do that. And the pretty amusing bit to me is that since he tried calling the wrong number he obviously couldn’t reach me and ended up with a “I’m sorry, this line is not in service” on the other end made him temporarily freak~ Don’t worry dude, I *should* know how to take care of myself! =D But thanks all the same, who cares if it’s 3 weeks after? XD
I just missed seeing leech~ cause I promised to show her the pic of me with my temporary curls and my new haircut ‘fresh out of the oven’, so to speak. Maybe I’ll see her on Wednesday – I still have the monga articles I’ve yet to do and have to hand in by tomorrow. I guess I’ll wake early to do it to be able to upload it to the server and make it in time for my lecture @ 2pm with the edgy-fusspot lecturer.
