the final dash to freedom
I swear, this is the part where I hate exams the most.
Like alot of other people out there, I don't have the mood to study either. Most of the day I spent reading the most interesting Perl tutorial. I sound so nerdy でしょう? だけど本当だ! Not just because I have to learn it for the exam, but I really think its presented in a very interesting manner. This is one of the rare times that I wonder if it would be better if I went to US to study instead. Hahaha, it's not even an available option. But that's just a passing thought.
I feel like I haven't done alot of studying today; I felt like I didn't get anything memorized (or at least retained in some persistent class in my head so that I can instantiate the FIT2029 class and invoke the method recall(chapter_number) when the time comes.)
Okay, that was lame. =________________=
I really don't know how to study for this unit. *sigh* Will go look at the unitbook and the lecture notes tomorrow. I need to read up for the theory part at least. PHP, Perl, SQL, Javascript... they're all fun, but not when I have to take an exam for them. うが~
*hmph*
I will survive this.

The FFXI OST Premium Box has one added bonus: Disc 7, the Piano Collections! The sheet music to it looks fairly easy to play, and there are duets too! Although the duet pieces are usually fast ones like Vana'diel March #4 and Battle Theme. My favourite piece by far is Choc-a-bye Baby, it's an absolutely lovely piece.
Falling in love with the Final Fantasy Piano Collections again! The pleasant melodies of FFVIII, impossibly-difficult to play FFIX pieces, the soothing FFX pieces, the loveliness of "久遠 ~光と波の記憶" and now the slight nostalgic air of Choc-a-bye Baby.

Succumbed to the temptation of obtaining some fresh tunes for shirohiro. I've been deprived for far too long, far too long.
Hahaha from this point on it'll be my short love story between me and these artists~
Rediscovered my love for:
久保田利伸 (toshinobu kubota)
The first song I'll think of when I think of him will definitely be 'Club Happiness'. When I went to Tokyo, this was topping the charts, so I heard it virtually everywhere; on TV, on the train, at the stations, in shops, in restaurants.. it was everywhere dammit! I remember watching the music video too - but I only remember not liking it very much. XP However, the song caught my attention for its catchy tune (definitely the saxophone) so it was forgivable. By the time I left Tokyo I kept thinking about that song and how I absolutely had to have it. Wasn't easy to find it, but when I did I was definitely over the moon. It's one of those rare gems. Now I sit here in my room wishing I brought it along in shirohiro just so that I could listen to it again. I think it's the ONLY single of his I have, but I definitely love it to bits.
m-flo loves 日之内エミ (hinouchi emi) & Ryohei - Summer Time Love
This was another favourite, cause emi's voice complemented m-flo's especially at the chorus, ryohei covered the verses well and m-flo's beats were exactly what this piece needed. I don't even remember why I decided to get this song, but I never regretted it~
Crystal Kay
Anyone still remember the song 'Motherland' from 鋼の錬金術師? It was with an addition of one of her relatively old albums that I rekindled my love for her. Powerful vocals, high but not squeaky and sultry but not brutish. =P A good mix. Current faves from her are.. hang on, let me go check....きっと永遠に, As One & We Gonna Boogie (that annoying chipmunk voice in this song reminds me of Akon - Lonely... *shudder*).
Rain - Move On
Obviously it was to my curiosity despite my distaste for the budak mata sepet with a toned body to see what he was made of. Surprisingly, I liked this song. And I still do. And now, I'll add Sad Tango to the mix too. I downloaded the Eternal Rain album just out of curiosity too... and surprise, surprise, its release date was on my birthday~ My birthday also marks the opening of Disneyland HongKong. (Okay, that was even more random)
as well as expanding my faves list:
선민 (sunmin)
This is largely based on her collab with kubota in 'Keep Holding U' which is a really good ballad. Comparing both the Korean and Japanese versions of the song, I still think kubota is a better collab partner compared to 신혜성(shin hyesung). Somehow, hyesung's voice isn't as powerful. And then again this could be cause I have a bias for kubota.
絢香 (ayaka)
The only song I ever heard from her before this was her debut single "I believe" cause YK wanted it and asked me if I had it. However, I didn't start looking out for her music until I heard another single of hers, 三日月(mikazuki).
土屋アンナ(tsuchiya anna)
She should have been the one to act as nana as well. Although I nakashima mika has the look, anna has a more rock-ish feel. She is one spunky girl! Fave track from her so far is "Taste my skin", cause it has the air of the clubbing scene. It's definitely not a techno track, it's just the lyrics - Especially at the end of the chorus:
Is every guy the same?_____________________________________
I'm sorry I know you just wanted to taste my skin
Still deeply in love with angela aki. I can't help myself - I doubt anyone else would either. If I were ever to be a singer, I would want to be like her - to play the piano and sing. Her 'MY KEYS 2006' live concert in 武道館 (budokan) was something I only wish I could attend. It was superb~ When she was singing "We Are The Champions" and "We Will Rock You" I had to laugh though, she was basically crapping during the intervals! Something about Freddy Mercury and having no time for losers... or something. But I still loved the entire concert and would (literally) give anything to be there.

Something is making my face itch! It's so goddamn annoying. Is it the dry air? I'm afraid it'll manifest itself and turn into some kind of rash.. I think I better aerate my room more often and vacuum it too - will get down to it once exams are over. Or it could be that I just don't drink enough water and my face is really drying up. Gah! 面倒は!
