have faith, and believe.
Today was interesting~
Had a nice lazy morning. For lucnh I went down to Hartamas for northern Indian food at Saffron. Talk about good curries, mango lassi, bhatura and masala tea XD If there's one good thing in Malaysia, it's got to be food- cheap and great~ ^_^
Then jyan invited me to her church christmas eve service. Felt abit left out cause I got presents from jyan and peng, but I didn't get them anything. It was quite akward. Such is my ignorance ^_^;; Jyan gave me a christmas stocking (you know, those type kiddos hang over the fireplace so that Santa can stock'em up) and peng gave me candy! XDXXD And a handphone tag from Korea. Thanks to you both *hugs*
We arrived at about 7.30 pm, and it was pretty empty then. So we walked around the church, catching up for a bit, and got introduced to some of her friends. When the crowds actualy began to fill up the church, we hurried upstairs and secured some seats.
Basically the itenary was something like this: reading (the story of Christmas), singing carols in between readings, speech, lighting of candles, then end of service. Since it's in my nature that I do enjoy singin, I enjoyed the Christmas carols. As a sidenote, I also had overkill of hearing it being blasted in every departmental store AND airport in hongkong, plus there were even kindergarteners carolling in the airport and out in the open streets (they were so cute, their engrish added a funny kiddy touch to it). So yeah, I enjoyed the singing, even though I didn't know some of them.
"What is it you are waiting for this Christmas?" the reverend addressed the crowd. That question caught me. What do I wait for? Children wait for Santa and their presents, adults wait to celebrate with the ones close to the,. "What about me?" I wondered. It's probably in there all along, buried under the dust and rubble of recent events..I wonder.
After that we went out for mamak before parting ways~ a simple end to the day, which brings me here and now.
In the marvel and wonder of the day itself, I wish everyone a blessed merry christmas, and no matter where you are, never stop believeing. Believe that magic and miracles do happen, and that love always lingers although you may have given up altogether.
