first day alien with other aliens
Breakfast was slightly mushy hash browns, bacon, eggs, toast and fruit juice X3 I was glad for that because I was actually feeling pretty hungry and I hadn’t gone grocery shopping yet. After that, though, Farah, Sharon, Lian and I did go shopping since the supermarket was just next door. Hearing Farah curse the flies like hell on the walk back was pretty entertaining mainly cause she’s got the Brit accent.
After stuffing our shopping in the fridge & personal larders we rushed off to 4N120 to listen to a very very interesting talk on generally living student life… all that stuff about safe sex, watching out for people spiking your drink(s), drinking alcohol responsibly & sensibly (and in the same mouthful clarify that his initial performance on pretending to be a Welsh professor researching on the benefits of alcohol was utter crap XD), homesickness, loneliness, being more open and how to overcome depression. He’s a really good performer, from faking a very heavy Welsh accent to juggling to faking the American accent, dancing, acting like a jock, acting like a shy little girl (I tell you this was hilarious), and getting himself out of a straitjacket he can do practically everything. I liked how he ended his presentation, by getting out of his straitjacket and saying “For every problem or obstacle, there is always a gap for you to free yourself of it” or something similar.
Dinner was pizza at the student lounge which was actually pretty good but not filling simply because that’s what pizza is and that there were a lot of huge eaters that night. After dinner Catherine invited us to play this game which is -yet- another version of the kids’ game Mafia where the murderers kill civilians, police try to guess who the criminals are and the doctor will try to correctly save a life (even if it’s the doctor’s own) with a huge gang of people, namely Sabrina, Kat, Eileen, Sharon, Zoon, Lisa, Jay, Lambert and Jared. Arjun & Tina played for awhile…but I guess they split when we decided to finish playing the rest of the rounds at the West Rec room.
If there’s one thing about Lambert I must say here and now is that Lambert is soooo Jon’s type of guy and behaves exactly if not identical to ty. I swear it! Nothing wrong with being overly analytical, but in a game people play for fun? I guess the rest got tired of it so the murderers killed him off pretty quickly, no offense dude XP
Most importantly: I FINALLY got my Internet up and running.
