farewell #5: ah ee+family & auntie Winnie & unc Robert farewell!
Had some fun trying to locate mel.c’s place. Section 17 is no place you wanna get lost in; dead ends everywhere and it’s really a pain to do a 3-point-turn or whatever just to get out of it.
That was the easy part.
Fools that we are, we headed straight for 1u. Needless to say even the carpark was packed leaving us to a very endurance-draining experience for hunting for a parking space (parking lots are not an option anymore) which went on for about 80 minutes or so. Constantly having to squish between cars (thank goodness I drove the smaller car) and scraping a bumper (made of rubber so *phew* no scratches of any kind) and preying for hapless people leaving the mall like vultures for fresh meat. It was not fun, I assure you. The lunch was a simple affair since I only *finally* found a space to magically squish my car into at around 215pm, leaving pengshaun to wilt in hunger or whatever.
On meeting him, it sounds like he had a very educational time; he had nearly learnt how to play poker and its terms like a professional. He’s such a gentleman too! Rare of me to say this, I know, but he actually didn’t fret like the rest of the local peers. Kiwiland must have done something good to this guy ^__^ Chatted a lot on books that we read, science fiction, Family Guy and some other things. Had to cut it short cause I had to go buy some groceries for tonight’s bbq so off we went to do a little grocery shopping. When we were done he left to get ready for his 2nd farewell of the day (dinner with his DU gang @ The Curve), connived into getting aichan to have dinner @ my place and sent el home.
aichan (ie “The Official Creator of Cute Food”) was a great help! XD We did the baked vegetables from scratch, the pie, chasing flies off the food as well as steal bits of freshly bbq-ed food (also known as quality check). Also learnt a lot of kitchen-cooking stuff X3 Very Very Educational, Indeed.
aichan brought her camera so we had to try and take a tourist photo with the food. We know we’re hopeless at it.
Needless to say when unc Robert & auntie Winne as well as ah ee and her family came, the food was quickly devoured. I mean, the leftovers were really sparse. And the cutee little oranges were quickly down the hatch before eyes blinked.
Lesson learnt: don’t ever EVER drive during public holidays.
